Assets in circulation
A circulation count refers to the admitted objects or units under a stated source and method. An asset object and its issued units are not interchangeable counts. Reports need to identify which they measure, their moment and the applicable state.
Assets listed
A listing is a public discovery entry. It can expose a title, owner, media and supported valuation without granting transfer authority. The listed universe can be smaller than circulation because public discovery and economic existence are different properties.
Supported valuations
Only objects with the necessary admitted inputs can contribute a supported valuation under the displayed method. A missing valuation is not automatically zero. It also does not establish that the object is worthless, funded, liquid or invalid.
Avoid double counting
Different categories may overlap because a source can carry several media types. Ownership transfers do not issue another copy of the same economic object. Aggregations should preserve object identity, supply and entry time rather than counting every record or category occurrence as a new asset.
Reading a total
Use circulation, listing and valuation counts for their own questions. A market total should identify its included universe and method. A gap between counts should be explained precisely, without a vague failure label that makes discovery coverage look like a broken proof.
Method, sources and assessment
