# Branding and official-reference identity

**Bankeiz.com is the official Bankeiz reference implementation.** Brian Joseph Klock (BJ Klock) maintains this project identity. This policy reserves trademark rights to the extent held under applicable law; it asserts no unverified registration or ownership of another party's marks.

The [GPL](LICENSE) permits use, modification, redistribution and rebranding. This policy is separate from software copyright and adds no restriction to those permissions. A fee, permission or certification is not required to exercise GPL rights. Copying original source and retaining its notices does not by itself imply endorsement.

## Accurate references and rebranding

You may accurately name Bankeiz, Reality-Grade Banking and Receiz in provenance, compatibility, integrations, comparisons, reviews and descriptions of a fork. “Based on the Reality-Grade Banking reference implementation” is appropriate when true. Preserve legal notices and clearly identify a modified version and its operator. Lawful nominative, descriptive and other permitted uses remain unaffected.

You may use your own names, logos, domains and presentation assets, subject to their applicable rights. The [branding configuration](branding/README.md) is a starting point, not the exclusive scope of allowed changes.

## Official identity and endorsement

The software license does not grant permission to use Bankeiz names, domains, logos or identity as your service brand in a manner that falsely suggests the official reference, common ownership, sponsorship or endorsement. Distinguish independent services and materially modified products clearly; accurate attribution and lawful uses remain allowed.

Do not imply approval that has not actually been granted through labels such as “official Bankeiz,” “Bankeiz certified,” or an official-looking seal/badge. This repository establishes no automatic institution certification program. Evidence-supported descriptive conformance claims are separate from official endorsement; see [CONFORMANCE.md](CONFORMANCE.md).

Receiz and third-party names and marks remain subject to their respective holders' rights. This project grants no trademark permission on another holder's behalf.

Direct project-branding permission requests to the maintainers through the [reference repository](https://github.com/kojibai/reality-grade-banking). Any separate permission must identify the permitted mark, use and scope. A code contribution, passing test or software license is not trademark approval.
